Previously (February 2021 and March 2021)
• We are in the process of creating as much of the report as
possible using a synthetic data set that will mirror (in format) the
data we get from Indiana
• We are actively investigating data scenarios (e.g., low
participation) and developing processes for accommodating
• As we produce these synthetic reports we will review with IDOE
staff to add additional features as necessary so the final report
includes all necessary analyses/results.

Updates
• We are currently creating historical ILEARN/ISTEP and ACCESS baseline matrices
with which to calculate baseline referenced growth from 2019 to 2021.
• We are conducting investigations using simulated historical data to understand
robustness to modelling assumptions.
• We have a report template set up and are beginning to write the introduction
and methodology sections.

Data requirements (to discuss)
• ILEARN data: We have a good understanding of this data and a
process in place to get that data in a timely fashion
• ACCESS data: We have a good understanding of this data and a
process in place to get that data in a timely fashion
• Interim Assessment data: We need to discuss what this data
comprises. That will allow us to figure out what we need to run
analyses and determine whether we can get those data.
• Pandemic related data/OTL data: We need to discuss whether
Indiana has these data.
