Data Recognition Corporation (DRC)

Assessment vendor. Represented at April 23–24, 2026 TAC Meeting by Kyle Fagan and Jessalyn Smith.

Two roles in the April record:

• Growth modelling. DRC explored models to project a grade 12 growth target from a grade 11 prior, and reported that none fitted — DRC Grade 12 Projection Explorations. The work was presented jointly with Chad Bailey of OEAA in Session 3 — Accountability Growth Methodology Targets.
• Interim score delivery. In the intended concordance workflow, students take the Smarter Balanced interim assessment and scores come from DRC before educators consult the concordance table. See M-STEP / Smarter Balanced Concordance.
