Pearson / Evaluation Systems
Vendor for the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification under contract to Office of Educator Excellence (OEE). Represented at April 23–24, 2026 TAC Meeting by Nancy Hahn and Heather Klesch of Evaluation Systems, and Jackie Thompson of Pearson Professional Assessments.
The contract requires OEE to maximise the number of meaningfully different test forms per field — the requirement that generated MTTC Meaningfully Different Forms.
Pearson asked two questions of the committee that remain open: what definition and item overlap an equating methodology would require, and whether equating data can become too old (Can equating data be too old?).
Pearson conducts the standard settings for Groups 3 and 4 and already holds rubrics for constructed-response items, which bears on Build one open-ended prompt from a randomly selected standard.
