Damian Betebenner
Member of the Michigan OEAA/OEE Technical Advisory Committee. Present both days of April 23–24, 2026 TAC Meeting.
Named twice in the April record — the only TAC member named in the body of the minutes at all.
On the origin of Michigan’s growth targets. Asked how the AGP targets were initially set, the answer given in Session 3 — Accountability Growth Methodology Targets was that “they were set out of the R-set that Damian Betebenner built” — the R SGP package, which Michigan uses for quantile regression growth targets on M-STEP, PSAT 8/9/10, SAT with Essay, and WIDA ACCESS. See Michigan Growth Model.
On subscore methodology. In Session 5 — Simulation Studies on Subtest Indicators he offered to collaborate with Ji Zeng on her subscore work — Support Ji Zeng’s work through direct collaboration. The minutes render this as “Damion Betebenner”; the name is corrected in this corpus.
Between meetings. Author of copula-approach-to-subtest-indicators, a worked response to Session 5 developed from the corpus in September 2026 — the concrete form of the collaboration offered in April.
Note on this corpus. This repo was built by Betebenner as a demonstration for the September 10, 2026 TAC meeting, so he is both a subject of the record and its compiler. The argument the corpus makes is set out in documents/ai-native-tac.qmd.
