Support Ji Zeng’s work through direct collaboration
The advice. “JI Zengs’s work is very sophisticated, and TAC would like to support her in her work. Damion Betebenner suggested that she work with him on this.”
(Both names are misspelled in the source; corrected here as Ji Zeng and Damian Betebenner. See TAC Meeting Notes, April 2026.)
Why. This is the only place in the entire meeting record where an individual TAC member is named taking an action, and the only recommendation addressed to the committee itself rather than to a state office.
It is also the mechanism by which Model the joint density of the three dimensions gets done. That recommendation asks for joint-density modelling with correctly derived marginals — a substantial piece of methodological work that a single state psychometrician would carry alone. The collaboration is what makes the technical advice actionable rather than aspirational.
Status. Accepted — offered and, on the record, welcomed. Whether the collaboration has begun is not recorded and should be confirmed at the next meeting.
