OEAA/OEE Technical Advisory Committee
The joint Technical Advisory Committee for MDE’s Office of Educational Assessment and Accountability (Office of Educational Assessment and Accountability (OEAA)) and Office of Educator Excellence (Office of Educator Excellence (OEE)).
Purpose. The committee meets three times a year. Vendors and state staff present issues to the committee and receive feedback and advice on what is being done or proposed. It is advisory: it does not decide, and the April record contains no votes or motions.
Members recorded in April 2026. Mark Reckase, Jennifer Randall, Gregory Cizek, Damian Betebenner, Martha Thurlow.
How the committee appears in the record. As a body. The minutes attribute every question and every recommendation to “TAC,” never to an individual, with one exception — see Support Ji Zeng’s work through direct collaboration. This is a property of the minuting convention rather than of the meeting, and it means the corpus can record what the committee advised but not which expertise produced the advice. That limitation is the starting point for the argument in documents/ai-native-tac.qmd.
