Office of Educator Excellence (OEE)

The MDE office responsible for educator preparation and certification, including the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification. Represented at April 23–24, 2026 TAC Meeting by Bridgett McDowell, its only attendee.

OEE holds the MTTC contract with Pearson / Evaluation Systems and brought both MTTC questions to the April meeting: MTTC Meaningfully Different Forms and MTTC Constructed-Response Endorsements.

The committee’s central advice to OEE was to define the inference the MTTC defends before settling any question about forms or endorsements — Define the inference the MTTC actually defends.
